Fares and Passes

One-Ride Fare and All-Day Passes

Passengers may pay a One-Ride Fare or purchase an All-Day Pass upon boarding any WATA bus or trolley. Please have exact change ready while you are waiting for the bus to arrive to your stop. Credit cards are not accepted on the bus or trolley.
  • One-Ride Standard Fare: $1.50
  • All-Day Standard Fare: $3.00
Before paying your fare on the bus, let your bus operator know which ticket you would like. Please be aware that bus operators and fareboxes are unable to make change.

Multi-Day Passes
  • Multi-Day passes may only be purchased at the WATA Customer Service Center and Ticket Office, located inside the Williamsburg Transportation Center:

Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

Reduced Fare Eligibility


Reduced Fare is available to seniors ages 65+, Medicare customers, and people with certain disabilities. In order to receive Reduced Fare, you must show ID proving eligibility every time you board the bus or trolley. 

WATA Reduced Fare ID Cards
Reduced Fare ID cards issued by WATA are available to those eligible for Reduced Fare. This ID card can be shown to Bus Operators upon boarding to receive Reduced Fare. Please visit the Customer Service Center and Ticket Office located at the Williamsburg Transportation Center to apply for an ID.
