[ARCHIVED] WATA sets new DBE goal

The goal is for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 fiscal years.

Williamsburg Area Transit Authority is proposing an 8 percent DBE goal for its services and contracts during fiscal years 2022, 2023 and 2024.

This is required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA for Department of Transportation assisted contacts in pursuant to Federal Regulations 49 CVR, Part 26) beginning on October 1, 2021.

Information on the manner which the goal was established is available online at or by calling (757) 220-5493 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday for a period of 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on this goal will be accepted for 45 days from the date of this notice.

The above information was published in the local news papers: The Virginia Gazette and the Daily Press on June 18 and 19, respectively.
